Re: Contributions to Chief Ministers’ Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF) for COVID 2019
Kerala is in a battle against COVID19. The people of the State have shown great courage and tenacity in this fight against the pandemic. The outbreak and the consequent disruption have affected the lives of many.
The entire country, or even the entire World is going through this unprecedented natural calamity , of this unseen virus attack. It is inspiring that our Governments and Government agencies have come out with meticulous support to the innumerable institutions and organizations taking part in the relief operations. It is now a scene of the people and the administration working together for a noble cause of rebuilding the State and saving the lives of our people.
Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund(CMDRF) is an emergency assistance scheme for granting relief to deserving families and individuals affected by natural calamities or loss of life of relatives due to accidents or for medical treatment for major diseases.
H.H.SwamiSwaroopanandaji had appealed to our Mission Centers to rise up to the situation and involve in the operations by proving our leadership skills by mobilising our full might in helping the people in their times of sufferings, trials and tribulations. It is therefore requested that all the Chinmaya Mission centers and Institutions in Kerala may join together and raise a fund , which can be contributed through CSTK to the CMDRF. The educational institutions could appeal to the staff to contribute at least a days salary or more and also involve the students to be part of this noble cause in raising funds. The first phase will be from teachers and staff and next from students after schools/colleges reopen. This could be done after the Lockdown is lifted by 3rd May 2020 , on a strategy worked out by each Institution. We wish to make the consolidated contribution by 15th of May 2020. We would request all the stake holders to be actively participating in this Yajna of making a substantial contribution by the Chinmaya Family for the welfare of our State.
CCMT is making a direct contribution to the Prime Minister Fund and we are glad to inform you that all the Trusts in Kerala have generously contributed tothat endeavor of Swami Swaroopananadaji.
We all can help rebuild Kerala and protect the lives of our people by making our little contributions to the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF)through CSTK,at this time of need .The entire coordination work will be carried out by CSTK. Details of remittances to CSTK etc , by each institution will be individually acknowledged for records, and will be informed to you in due course after the contribution is made to CMDRF.
Your acknowledgement of this communication and prompt action will contribute immensely to the sustaining vision of Chinmaya Mission.
In the Service of the Lord and Poojya Gurudev,
